Started in 1934 as a sawmill by W.M. Gobble, "Gobble Lumber" became Gobble-Fite Lumber Company following the addition of the Fite brothers: Roy (1938), Jack (1939), and Jim (1941). Over the years, the company has grown into much more than just a "lumber" company, meeting the needs of a burgeoning and ever more sophisticated residential and commercial building market.
